Okay, this debate is as old as the hills now. But I'm sure people would love to talk about it.

Personally, I believe that Janus/Magus doesn't appear in CC at all, in any form. They were saving his character for a sequel (maybe Chrono Break), but that obviously never happened.

Honestly I made a whole theory about making Chrono Cross work, where Guile was Magus. However, being that it is a theory, I think they ditched him. I mean really, Magus making light hearted drinking bets? Meh. I guess with that half assed explanation in the DS version that he got amnesia it would be more plausible.
