The question is simple: What era had the best games? Or was the best for people who play games?

The gaming "Generations" are of course arbitrary and up for debate, but most people go with the Nintendo consoles as a guide. So the eras would be:

1st) Atari (pre-Nintendo). Breakout. Pac-Man. Asteroids. Centipede. Frogger. Great games, but terrible graphics (if you can even call blocks on the screen "graphics")

2nd) Nintendo Entertainment System. Mario Bros. Metroid. Dr. Mario. Legend of Zelda. Final Fantasy I/II/III.

3rd) Sega Genesis/ Super Nintendo. F-Zero. Mario Kart. Donkey Kong Country. Super Metroid. Final Fantasy 4/5/6. Chrono Trigger!!!!!

4th) Playstation/Nintendo 64. Twisted Metal. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Mario RPG. Super Mario 64. Goldeneye.

5th) Playstation 2/Xbox/Gamecube. Halo. Katamari Damacy. World of Warcraft. Pikmin. Call of Duty.

6th) Playstation 3/Xbox 360/Wii/DS. Mass Effect. Fallout 3. Skyrim. Bioshock. Starcraft 2. League of Legends. Dark Souls.
