What are you watching?
We've got a decade or so of TV shows/movies to catch up on. What have you all been watching during the Chrono Shock quite years?

I'm mostly into sci-fi at this point. The Expanse is my very favorite show out there. I've also really enjoyed Tales from the Loop, Counterpart, Man in the High Castle, and Dark. If we're talking non-sci-fi, I really loved Planet Earth 1 and 2. Breathtakingly beautiful.

I've been watching:


  • The Devil's Hour - Quite a vibe. A slow burn. Very Stephen King in some ways, as it's a kind of random horror that keeps you guessing at what will happen next (while the overall story is sort of obvious).
  • Fired on Mars - A fun story, reminds me of the more dramatic/dark moments in Rick & Morty. Not one to be underestimated.
  • The Venture Brothers - An old classic, sort of cringe, but you can tell the writers had a lot of fun with what became the flagship of Adult Swim. Increasingly better storytelling as it goes on.

I started watching Better Call Saul for a second time. Not quite as good the second time around (the show hinges on keeping you guessing), but still great. After that, I'll probably watch Breaking Bad for a second time. And after that, uh... I've been meaning to watch the Walking Dead, mostly because I want to watch it decline as the seasons go on (as people say it does).

I'm watching The Queen of Versailles. This is about a self-made rich family going through the 2008 financial crisis. I never expected to be sympathetic to rich people going through hard times, but man, the kids really suffered. Victoria, the daughter, died due to drug abuse after being bulled. Very sad. There's a sequel TV series also.

So yeah I watched the new Mario movie. I think one reason I enjoyed the Mario movie so much was all the awesome frigging classic music. I should know the classical music that plays during the mishap with the dog and plumbing scene...anyone that's seen it know?
